...just read about this guy on a blog. He is closing in on the world record for circumnavigating the globe on a bicicyle at an incredible pace of 111 miles per day. He's been riding for 149 days and is now in the states before returning to France to finish.

I like the "this will not be narrated by a monotone harbinger of doom" in the manifesto. An interesting side note - the other day in flag, after a bicyclist was killed by a recycling truck turning right through the bike lane on butler, they mentioned that 9% of trips in flag are by bike, compared with a national average of 0.8%. So whether or not it this is a bike friendly town, there is a lot of biking going on here.
And on a totally unrelated, for-charity note, this guy was one tough mofo... running 23.3 miles a day for 143 days straight!
